[LOGic] Logic 8 and Microham Interfaces

They *must* be unchecked.

Have you configured a PTT line in Logic for use with the keyer? Normally
you don't need to. Do you still have a problem if CW and CW PTT are both
set to None.

Also make sure that W1EL (WinKeyer) port is disabled.

I use 9600 baud... works with all Icoms... but I don't think that should
be a problem.

I use polling on the bus so I turn CAT transceive off and also disable
router inquiries on the microham.

Also, I never use COM1-COM4 for USB ports... since they are often
reserved for MB com ports or plug-in cards. Superstitious maybe ;-)

I use COM5 for rig control, COM6 for Winkey and COM7 for FSK.

Other than that... I really can't think of anything else.

BTW, I have a fairly old 2Ghz Pentium with a lot of stuff running and it
sent pretty good CW... just the occasional stutter if I started up
another program or some piece of software decided it was the perfect
time to check for updates (which WAS annoying!... thus the Microkeyer).
Use MS task manager to check your CPU utilization and make sure there
isn't something using up more than its share of resources...
