[LOGic] Re: WinKeyer

I guess I need to be specific about the problem I am
having with Winkeyer and Logic8.

1. It works correctly 97% of the time.

2. When I exit Logic8 the Winkeyer stays in the
"connected" state so launching N1MM right after it dos
not repond to MM's request to connect. I must execute
a hard reset each time (by holding the red button down
for 6 seconds, per the Winkey manual) This is 100%
repeatable.

3. When Winkey is sending and you press "esc" to
abort sending, Logic8 hangs. Its deader than a
doornail and the only way out is to "end" in the task
manager. This is 100% repeatable.

4. Problems 2 and 3 above exist on my old laptop
running Win98 and Logic8 AND on my home computer
running Win2000. The problem is consistant and
repeatable on both computers.

5. As long as I consiously stay away from the problem
senerios above in 2 and 3, everything runs fine.

6. These problems stated above in 2 and 3 do not show
themselves in N1MM. I am able to exit N1MM and launch
Logic8 and the Winkeyer plays fine. I can stop and go
the CW in N1MM at will with no hangups.

If no one else is seeing this, well, I guess I will
live with it, and may consider discontinuing Winkeyer
use with Logic8, as I am doing less and less
contesting with it anyway (was still using Logic
contesting features to "dabble" in some contests)
