[LOGic] Digital modes and LOGic8

My experience has been that HamScope has a good "look and feel" and is excellent with RTTY (because it used MMTTY). It has not worked out well for me on PSK31 though. Too much garbage gets displayed. MixW is much better for PSK31. Oh, and if you are the type who likes a CW decoder, HamScope seems to work much better than MixW for CW. The interface to LOGic from either one is not very reliable. You have to continually watch LOGic to make sure you're logging what you think you're logging. And of course, don't forget, if you run MixW, you have to be sure to load it FIRST before LOGic, or it will have COM port conflicts all over the place.

Bottom line: sure - it works - but not very "clean." I wish the programming made the digital interface more transparent. Personally, I have not found the HamScope and Telnet forms easy or convenient to use which leads me to wonder why they're there. I tried using them in a recent digital contest, and gave up - and worked the contest from where I should have started in the first place: N1MM.

Jess,
I found and installed Hamscope. It receives RTTY but I can't get it to transmit. I'll have to work on it more to get it to transmit.

I appreciate your help.
