Hi John:
We did invest in a new installation program. It copies over all of your data, including the
user-defined field definitions.
It DOES NOT copy over your custom log forms. This is because there are new fields, and
there is no way to predict where you would want them positioned. So, it comes up with our
default log form.
If you want to keep your custom log forms, just copy them manually. They are in the
LOGDATA\LOGFORMS folder of LOGic7 and LOGic8 respectively. Run LOGic 8, open the
copied log form, unlock it, and either delete the new fields, or position them where you want
them.
This is explained in Help. Search for NOTES FOR LOGIC 7 USERS.
You shouldn't be getting any errors. Let me know the specifics, and I can advise.
