Hello Logic Users,
Anyone already two-side printing QSL cards in one pass through a duplex
enabled printer?
Recently Bill W5WVO and I have been exchanging emails wondering how best to
go about setting up a LOGic report to allow two sided printing on QSL cards.
But has someone already done this?
Currently we run a report, print one side of all cards in the deck, flip the
deck, and then run a second report and print the opposite side on all cards.
What we envision is a report that enables those of us with duplex printers
to load a stack of cards, run ONE report, and have both sides of each card
printed as each card is processed by the printer.
You might wonder why the need for this and think up workarounds, so here is
one example to have a report like this: to be able to print the worked
station's call sign on both sides of a QSL card. Consequently the front and
back of each card is unique to that card, and must match!
A report for printing loose cards (pre-cut) would be one step in the right
direction, followed by a more complex report that allows for those of us
using sheet stock to print 2, 3, or 4 up at a time.
Any user out here already invented this wheel?
If not, here are some of my thoughts -
Can a single report be setup which is a dedicated "two page" report, and use
page 1 for card front & pg 2 for rear?
Can two individual reports be concatenated, either in the report writer
(more likely?) or when printing (less likely?)?
Can a FoxPro program (PRG file) do this?
Regards, Bill
