Bob,
The demo is apparently trying to replace the existing copy of msvcrt.dll (a
basic Windows library file) with an updated version, and can't because
Windows won't let it delete the old version of the file for one reason or
another. Since this is a Windows system library file, you might well have to
have Administrator privileges to overwrite it. If you're running a Windows
version that has an Administrator log-on (anything from NT forward I
believe), make sure you are logged on as Administrator (or as an alias that
has full administrator privileges) before attempting to install the program.
Alternatively (or perhaps additionally), you might have an application
running that is using the DLL. Closing all open applications before
installing anything is generally a good rule to follow. Once you are logged
on as Administrator or equivalent and all applications are closed, uninstall
the demo and then reinstall it from scratch. I would think the error should
disappear under those circumstances. Anyway, see if that works.
