[Logic] SERIAL PORT ERROR?

Dan-
If you go to www.comtrol.com and look under support for their PCI boards, in
particular the RocketPort, you will find in the test and diagnostic section
a couple of test packages. One of them reads out the state of a port when
you open it and keeps track of data transfers. The other one is a loopback
test. It allows you to transmit data out of your interface and to loop it
back in and check for errors etc. Although there may be some features which
apply only to the Comtrol boards, the software seems to work with any port I
have installed. You have to wire a DB9 or DB25 connector in loop back mode,
but that's easy to do and the connector is available at Radio Shack. I
recently found a defective port board this way.

Good Luck

No, I only have Logic7 installed now; but 2 instances of it.

Jacques...

Do you also have LOGIC 6 installed? And do you have the same problem with
LOGIC 6?

I can't swear this is the case, but it seems that serial communications to
the rig were killed after LOGIC 7 was installed. Prior to having two LOGIC
versions installed, LOGIC 6 was talking to the rig fine. Now, neither
version does.
