Dan,

I have been having the same problem here using Logic7. I have tried changing
ports and the timing to poll the rig. So far nothing has worked to resolve
the problem. Maybe it's time to get Dennis involved.

Subject: [Logic] SERIAL PORT ERROR?

Hi folks...

Been running LOGic6 for several years, including rig interface. All OK.

Recently purchased LOGic7, and am running both 6 and 7 from different
directories during the transition debugging.

Suddenly, the rig interface no longer works. The error I get is a pop-up
window stating
A TIMEOUT OCCURED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO COMMUNICATE WITH A RIG. MAKE SURE RIG
IS TURNED ON AND CHECK SETUP PARAMETERS. POLLING DISABLED. 4 CHARACETRS IN
BUFFER. F0-40-02-00.

The rig is powered up, cable is OK, and setup parameters are unchanged. In
fact nothing is changed.

The error pops up if I start LOGic6 or LOGic7. I am speaking of a problem
when running only ONE of the LOGic programs; of course both simultaneously
will not share the COM port.

I believe this propblem only cropped up since I installed LOGic7 in a new
directory.

Any ideas what is going on here?

Thanks and 73
Dan
