Thanks Mel,

Appreciate your digging deeper into this. Up to your last post I was okay
and had previously done exactly as you were suggesting.

This last "further research" now makes everything a mess. I will send an
e-mail off to ARRL as well since I believe they are incorrect with the
provinces/territories and I think they should consider correcting it.
Canada has 10 provinces and 3 territories, it makes no sense at all for it
to be any other way, especially if the only reasons given were those below.

I haven't looked at the ARRL contest details but will now. I think this is
a bigger problem then anyone ever thought.

Thanks again,

73 de, Brad, N8GLS

Some further reserch, and an e-mail exchange with N1ND at ARRL and here is
some additional info...

The ARRL uses the postal abbreviations for provinces, as below, with the
following changes...

NL is split into NF (Newfoundland) and LB (Labrador)
PE is abbreviated PEI because many foreign stations think PE is
Pennsylvania...
NT is changed to NWT, because the ARRL already used NT for the Northern
Territories section (NT,YT,NU)

So, according to the ARRL Canada has the following "provinces"... one more
than politically...

AB,BC,MB,NB,NF,LB,NS,NWT,NU,ON,PEI,QC,SK,YT
