Some further reserch, and an e-mail exchange with N1ND at ARRL and here is
some additional info...
The ARRL uses the postal abbreviations for provinces, as below, with the
following changes...
NL is split into NF (Newfoundland) and LB (Labrador)
PE is abbreviated PEI because many foreign stations think PE is
Pennsylvania...
NT is changed to NWT, because the ARRL already used NT for the Northern
Territories section (NT,YT,NU)
So, according to the ARRL Canada has the following "provinces"... one more
than politically...
AB,BC,MB,NB,NF,LB,NS,NWT,NU,ON,PEI,QC,SK,YT
