[Logic] FT 847 problem

OK, John:

Most likely you will need to exchange the 'standard' serial cable for 
the null modem cable.  If you use the cable you have now on your 
FT1000MP and it works, then you have the WRONG cable for the 847.  The 
difference is one pair of pins has the wires switched.
