Before I start, I want you to know that much of this is written with tongue
in cheek. I am a US citizen. My US callsign is N7NPR. I am also a
citizen of Israel; I now reside in Israel and my callsign here is 4Z1MR.

Many of you have lost sight of the fact that the whole world does not do
things the way they are done in the USA. Israel goes on and off of "Summer
Time" at dates other than the dates when the USA goes on and off of
Daylight Saving Time. This is true for other countries too.

If LOGic automatically adjusted for the change to and from DST it would
really make it tough on me and other HAMS who use LOGic in Israel, The West
Bank and Gaza.

We would have to manually undo the time changes made by LOGic and we would
also have to make the changes manually when we go on and off Summer Time.

So, Yankees, please go home and set your LOGic clocks manually and stop
trying to make the rest of the world conform to your way of doing things.

Incidentally, isn't there a US state that doesn't go on DST?? Sure there
is. Arizona, Hawaii, parts of Indiana, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin
Islands, and American Samoa have chosen not to observe Daylight Saving Time.

Want more? OK! In the southern hemisphere where summer comes in December,
Daylight Saving Time is observed from October to March. Equatorial and
tropical countries (lower latitudes) don't observe Daylight Saving Time
since the daylight hours are similar during every season, so there's no
advantage to moving clocks forward during the summer.

And, oh yes, many years ago when LOGic was in it's infancy and I still
lived in the good old USA, I referred Dennis to a US written program that
gave times for cities throughout the world and automatically made the
adjustment to ALL (I say again, ALL)locations when the bulk of the USA went
on DST. He didn't change LOGic then and now I'm glad he didn't.

Shalom from, to and for Israel,
Mike, 4Z1MR / N7NPR
