[Logic] changing name on user defined field

Ken,

The SAT_NAME data is still there in the userfields under THAT tag.
Just renaming the userfield does not change the tags or values under
those tags in the userfields.

What you will need to do is some edits in the userfields. Depending on
how many log entries you have would steer the method used. If you just
a few, use the logfom, "userfields" and set the filter to only look at SAT
contacts
and manually edit each tag from SATNAME to SAT_NAME or

You can use the database commands and replace values. This is potentially
dangerous. PLEASE backup before attempting this.

I have several QSL reports that print SAT QSL cards, very handy. I don't
have a
web page but I have space for it. One of these days I'll figure out how to
post these
files up.

Subject: [Logic] changing name on user defined field

Hi to everyone,

I have two things I would like to do here.

1. I set up a User defined field and am not happy with the name I used.
Instead of SAT_NAME I have SATNAME and would like to change it. When
I tried to change it, the data that had been there previously did not
show up in the window. Is there a simple way to change this?

2. I set up a second instance of LOGic with a different name for working
Satellites. My normal set up has two radios and a rotor tied in, but
with the second instance I have no need to have radios or rotors set up
because I am using different software for those functions. It is
quicker than going into the menu to drop the radio and rotor control
each time.

When I set a logform for Satellites, I set up user defined fields for
the Satellite name and mode. I have them set up with drop
down menus and it really works nice. I copied this logform to my
original instance of LOGic, but the "list" information does not copy
with the logform. Can I just copy the List info. that I have in my
drop down menus without messing up my original LOGic setup and if so
how?

Thanks, and hope I explained things well enough.
