Thanks Jim Steve for the suggestions! I hadn't considered these. It's OK
to be "different" and I'll give it a try. It nice to be part of a group
where (for the most part) constructive suggestions are made (as opposed to
the alternatives....). BTW, I know that it there is a problem reading both
VFOs on Icom rigs.
Of course, I'd still be interested in having it work so the QSX frequency is
set to VFO B. Isn't this the time of year for wishes... (Dennis, hint,
hint..)

In regular operation with my OMNI-VI+, I use VFO A. When I hear DX
operating split, I set VFO B to the QSX frequency. and listen on VFO A. (to
log the split, I manually hit the "SPLIT" button on the screen radio panel,
or not since it really doesn't matter)
When I use SET from a QSX spot in the SPOT log, VFO B is on the DX
frequency and VFO A is on the QSX frequency. (and the XMT frequency is
logged)
Other than being "different" there is nothing wrong with this.
