[Logic] List of Valid Values: ARRL Sections

Hi Art and Len:
Yes, I use Writelog for contesting and Logic5/6 for my general logger. Its
very easy to generate an ADIF file in Writelog so Logic can import it. But
thats where the problem begins.
This morning, I went into Logic and changed all of the MD's to MDC. I'll
just have to remember to edit my Writelog ADIF file prior to importing it
into Logic.
Interesting point on the mouse Len. I like Writelog quite a bit better than
CT, NA or TR (i.e. dos programs). In my case/opinion the mouse makes things
easier. And you are correct rate is important. So if I'm not running 'em,
I'm double clicking on spots and working 'em that way (if I'm running
assisted). I find that lining up spots is a lot quicker than the
traditional search and pounce method. But then again when I run unassisted
I still like the mouse.
Any ways, all is fixed on my end at this point. Logic and Writelog are
turning out to be one heck of a dual software package.
73 guys and thanks for the help.

Hi Art, I'd guess you don't contest seriously or at least not in SS. I
can relate to the querey but realize, from experience, that Logic will
never be a serious contest logger, and isn't intended to be.
One primary reason DOS loggers have remained popular with contesters
is that they DON'T use a mouse. WriteLog is an accepted Windows based
exception and it allows all keyboard entry for contest manipulations
with mouse access to items that are not, "heat of the battle,"
features. Most do allow editing acceptable terms for sections so the
computer does the work instead or requiring the user to conform, on
the fly, to what the author expects.
The mouse actually gets in the way if rate is of importance to you,
and rate is what counts in serious contest effort. Unfortunately what
is logged (or sent) does always conform to Dennis' list and either
slows the logging process if Logic is used or the import process in
the case of another contest logger.
Thanks for your efforts and assistance to others on the list. It's
been valuable as Dennis rolls out v6..
