[Logic] Pre-printed Cards and QSL Rates

Lads and Lassies,

Nice to see there is so much adrenaline left in the amateur radio
community, but I recommend saving some of it for a pileup.

I have a pretty slick full color card which I buy preprinted about three
thousand at a time, and my return rate still sucks. I QSL direct for all
new ones and any time I can get more than two band-modes out of a single
card. Fully half the green stamps I send get returned via the bureau,
which is OK with me as long as I get the card. Twenty five percent fall
into the QSL black hole, the exact location of which is being eagerly
sought my virtually every DXer. The remaining quartile of cards are
returned promptly by very courteous operators.

I have sent XW2A three sets of cards direct, and nada in return. Every
time I see him pop up on the cluster in a new country I know I paid for his
airline tickets. Oh well, it is just a hobby, right?

I think the League's logbook of the world project will fix just about
everything I think is broken as a DXer, except for lids and kids.

73,

Hank
