[Logic] QSL Card Stock

I fully agree with Carleton, and disagree with the two others.=20

These computer generated cards look very nice. It would take about 5 to =
10 minutes to print off 200 cards on 50 sheets. I respond to cards even =
if they are hand written on plain paper and I have gotten several of =
those from different parts of the world. What is most important is the =
courtesy of confirmation.

I dont agree Dave. Perhaps, you and Gil have not seen how professional =
looking these cards look after they are done. Im not saying that you =
cant get a junky looking card from someone who wont take the time to =
really make them look great, but most of us using this method will =
choose graphics and designs to make those cards look just as =
professional as preprinted cards. In the photo mode or laser printers, =
you wouldnt be able to tell the difference except for the fact that =
you'll know it was printed because of the personalization of the info on =
the card, which isnt that the purpose?

So beside all that, the purpose of the card really is to confirm that =
you worked a particular area for a specific award you are trying to =
fulfill. And even if the card I receive dont look as great, It will =
serve the purpose for showing conformation of that contact. That =
gentlemen is the whole purpose for QSLing, not to see how pretty a card =
you can get. Hams dont care what the card looks like, well most hams, I =
guess it matters to you two, but its the QSL info that is important to =
the most of us.

    I fully agree with Gil.
If I get one of those "paper" printer cards, I don't say "nice =
card!"
I usually think "what a piece of junk"
The Avery or otherwise microperf stuff will lower your return =
percentage.
