I would try reinstalling XP as a repair, not a full install. I am sure you
are missing something form perhaps the installer or other system file.
I run XP and have not had any problem whatsoever with a logic install. In
fact, I can do it over the network (both running xp in this case) and in
that install the install file is not even on the same system. Previously I
was running WIN2000 and had no problem with that either.
