On Tuesday March 2nd at 10:00 AM CST…a TEST TORNADO WARNING will be issued by the National Weather Service for all Illinois counties.  Outdoor warning sirens will also be tested in many areas at the same time. The National Weather Service, theIllinois Emergency Management Agency, local Emergency Management
offices, and local broadcasters all highly recommend that you use this time to conduct a tornado drill at your place of business, school, and home. 

This TEST tornado warning will also be broadcast on NOAA Weather Radios, as well as many commercial radio and TV stations throughout the state. This test is being done so we can adequately check severeweather warning systems BEFORE the threat of severe storms.
