Who:

Licensed Amateur Radio Operators



What:

A wilderness search in Silver Springs State Park, Plano, Illinois, Kendall

County as part of a continuing investigation.



When:

Saturday July 7th 7 am



Where:

Staging area is Kendall County Fairgrounds at the intersection of Route 71

and East Highpoint Road just 1 mile west of Route 47 in Yorkville



Why:

Provide the search teams and command post with voice communications and gps

positioning.



Equipment Needed:

VHF (144-148 MHz) radio with backup batteries.

Yorkville 2 meter repeater

- 147.375, + offset, pl 103.5,, or 146.52.

GPS and APRS capabilities are a plus

Dress for the expected weather

Hiking

Hydration
