...Flooding possible tonight and Friday...
The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a
Flood Watch from tonight through Friday for the entire Quad Cities
service area. This includes the following counties...
In Iowa...
Benton...Buchanan...Cedar...Clinton...Delaware...Des Moines...
Dubuque...Henry...Iowa...Jackson...Jefferson...Johnson...Jones...
Keokuk...lee...Linn...Louisa...Muscatine...Scott...Van Buren and
Washington.
In Illinois...
Bureau...Carroll...Hancock...Henderson...Henry...Jo Daviess...
McDonough...Mercer...Putnam...Rock Island...Stephenson...Warren and
Whiteside.
In Missouri...
Clark and Scotland.
A vigorous storm system will combine with large amounts of moisture
to bring moderate to heavy rain across the region beginning later
today and continuing into early Friday morning. Thunderstorms will
also be possible...with the best chances across the southern half of
the area. Total rainfall amounts as high as 1 to 1.5 inches...with
local amounts as high as 2 inches...are possible across the entire
area. Urban and small stream flooding will be possible tonight into
Friday.
High water may also continue into Saturday and Sunday...especially
on larger rivers such as the Maquoketa...wapsipinicon...Cedar...
Iowa...skunk...Des Moines...Fox in Missouri...Pecatonica...rock...
and green. The Mississippi River will also come up...but is expected
to stay within its banks.

warnings or advisories.
