Just a note to let all interested parties know that There will be a =
Skywarn storm spotter training session   on March 13,at 6:30 pm, at the =
Macomb American Legion post.  I just talked to meteorologist Gary =
Gleichman at KHQA-TV in Quincy, and he verified that he will be here =
that day to do his 6 pm weather show. He also has agreed to promote the =
class on his shows. The session is sponsored McDonough County ESDA and =
the LEARC.

Also, there will be another session on March 18, at the Northwestern =
High School in Sciota, at 6 pm.  This session will be sponsored by =
McDonough County ESDA and the Good Hope Volunteer Fire Department.

Of course, in addition to members of the above mentioned, the classes =
will be conducted by members of  the NWS, Quad Cities.

It has been pointed out by agencies that we need more spotters in our =
area.Anyone interested should attend, and pass this information on.  You =
do not have to be an amateur radio operator to be a spotter, but it sure =
helps.  Pass the word.
