[LeArc] Hamfest today

Hey guys....  I am going to a hamfest today up here in Sandwich, IL.  If
anyone can think of anything that they need, give me a call on my cell, and
I'll pick it up and send it to ya (stay on the cheap side, I'm only taking
$400)

Also, I finally purchased my first HF rig yesterday.  Got a Yeasu FT-100D
with the screwdriver.  Seems to work pretty good.  Can only operate 40M and
up with the screwdriver, but hey, what can you expect.  Guess I'll just have
to start pulling a long wire behing the care for 80 and 160 (yeah right).
Anyway, just in case any of you county hunters need a county up here (Cook,
lake, or Dupage), let me know, and maybe we can set something up.

By the way, has anything happened with the ILINK thing?  I know there was a
discussion of getting that set up on the repeater.  It would be nice to be
able to check into the net from up here.  I tried the program out here the
other day, and held about a 10 minute QSO with a guy in Madison Wisconsin.

One last little bit....  Made a 90 mile simplexcontact on 146.52 last
weekend.  The guy was air mobile with 2 watts into a hand held, and I was in
my car on the interstate.  Guess being 6000 feet up really does help (wonder
if the FCC will let me out up a tower... hehehe).

Well anyway, have a good time you guys.  I still haven't figured out if I
can be there for field day, but as we get closer, and I actually figure out
what is going on around here, I will let you know.
