Update 1:11 p.m. PST Wednesday: SpaceX Crew-11 is preparing to undock from the International Space Station for an early return to Earth due to an astronaut medical issue.

Thursday morning's manned spacecraft reentry may be visible for a wider swath of the California coast than previously reported. The Dragon spacecraft will approach from the northwest and could resemble a slow moving star or meteor for observers from north of San Francisco to Los Angeles. The craft may also produce a sonic boom as it parallels the coast before splashdown. The Dragon is slated to splashdown at approximately 12:40 a.m. PST in the ocean west of San Diego.
