Tonight's launch of a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. appears to have been delayed to no earlier than Thursday (March 20). Public sources report the vehicle is slated to lift off from south base at 10:48 p.m. Pacific Time and carry the NROL-57 mission into orbit.

Eight minutes after launch the first stage will land on a drone ship down range.

Weather permitting, the event could be visible to the unaided eye over a wide area.
