A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch tonight (March 19) from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. Numerous public sources report the vehicle is slated to lift off from south base at 11:02 p.m. Pacific Time and carry the NROL-57 mission into orbit. Eight minutes after launch the first stage will land on a drone ship down range.

Weather permitting, the event could be visible to the unaided eye over a wide area.
