According to official open sources and a media report, a Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. this evening (August 27) at approximately 11:04 p.m. PDT.

Following launch, the Falcon 9 will probably head southward as it carries several Starlink satellites into orbit.

A backup launch attempt is scheduled for Wednesday evening (August 28) at approximately 10:41 p.m. PDT.

Weather permitting, this event should be visible to the unaided eye over a wide area.
