This afternoon's (June 12) planned launch of a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg SFB, Calif. appears to be on schedule. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base at 2:19 p.m. PDT, the start of a 57-minute launch window. The vehicle will head southward and carry several small satellites into orbit.

If the sky is clear, the first few minutes of the launch could be visible up to 100 miles away.
