Tonight's (July 18) planned launch of a Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg SFB appears to be on schedule. The vehicle is slated to liftoff from south base at 9:34 p.m. PDT and carry several Starlink satellites into orbit.

Weather permitting, the event could be visible to the unaided eye for hundreds of miles. This launch probably occurs too long after sunset for the rocket's exhaust plume to be illuminated by sunlight.
