A Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled for launch from Vandenberg SFB on July 18-19. The vehicle is slated to lift off from south base during a 7:29 p.m. to 1:43 a.m. PDT launch window and carry several Starlink satellites into orbit.

The launch window opens 46 minutes before Vandenberg SFB sunset, which means this is a daylight event for western California. However, for Arizona, New Mexico, southern Utah and Colorado, extreme west Texas, and portions of Mexico, the window opens long after sunset. Observers in these areas may be treated to an interesting display as the rocket's exhaust is illuminated by sunlight at high altitude while it is suspended against a dusk sky.
