Two items of possible interest:

A missile launch is scheduled to take place Thursday morning (December 10) from New Mexico. This event may be visible for hundreds of miles. For more information, go to:

Regarding yesterday's unannounced missile launch seen in southern California: I found out today that the launch time was 6 a.m. PST. Based on that and other information, I can say with certainty that the glowing cloud seen Tuesday before sunrise was caused an SM-3 missile launch from San Nicolas Island, Calif.
