		      Vandenberg Launch Cancelled
				  
Today's launch of a Delta II missile from Vandenberg AFB was canceled at
T-60 seconds. Spaceflight Now reports the scrub was due to a wind gust
that caused the launch vehicle to sway more than the allotted amount.
Lift-off is now scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday) at 09:54:55 PST, the
start of a 5-second launch window.

A Vandenberg Launch Net will be held on the 147.000 MHz Santa Barbara
amateur (ham) radio repeater beginning at 09:30 tomorrow.

Tomorrow I plan to be atop Santa Ynez Peak for the launch. Feel free to

If you decide to come up, please use extreme caution when driving the
stretch of road between Refugio State Beach and Santa Ynez Peak. If
Santa Ynez Peak is shrouded by clouds, I will be in the parking lot at
Refugio State Beach.

Following lift-off, launch enthusiasts are invited to join me for lunch
at 11:00 at Woody's Barbecue in Goleta.

To get there, take the 101 to the Patterson exit and head towards the
beach. Continue for two blocks to Hollister and make a left. Continue for
two block and you'll see a large shopping center. Turn into the shopping
center and you should see Woody's on you right. I'll probably be sitting
at one of the tables in the patio.
