Just wanted to say thanks to all the great input I have received regarding  
my question on the ARRL's General VHF Rule 1.12   I have learned a  lot.  
Please keep any additional comments coming too !   Where it  goes from here is hard 
for me alone to say.   I can tell you that I  have been sharing nearly all of 
your comments with my fellow VUAC members ....  as you may know each ARRL 
Division has a ARRL Director appointed VUAC rep.   You can find out who yours is

(http://www.arrl.org/contests/vuac.html)   .  If you feel that this is a significant issue I would suggest that 
you  send a brief email outlining your thoughts to BOTH your ARRL Director and 
your  division VUAC rep.  
 
While we can discuss (good) stuff like this at the VUAC volunteer level, if  
the issue is important enough it needs to be raised to each Director so that 
we,  as your VUAC, can be "directed".
