Tom,

There are comm'l outfits that sell all sorts of tech manuals, you can find
them easily by searching Google. But, they often times sell a manual based
on the price of the instrument itself, which means a $5000 instruments
manual might sell for 50 bucks (or more)-ouch.

I suggest you look on ebay every couple of weeks, if someone lists a manual
for it, it will go cheap. One that is sold as is will also be cheap and
might have a manual with it.

I searched google, and got lots of hits on the Oriel 7240 so it is clearly
a popular instrument.

Do you want the manual if it can be found for a reasonable price? If so,
what's reasonable for you? I have some sources which will probably be
cheap, but not free. Let me know if you want me to poke around further.
