I just picked up an old Newport 820 power meter, without the probe. I
have some 1cm^2 Silicon photodiodes with BNC connectors that I'd like to
use as detectors. It looks as if I can recallibrate the meter with the
pots on the bottom of the unit. There are three slots, one each for
632.8, 514.5, and 488.0nm. Does anyone know if I might be able to
recallibrate the switch to work with different wavelengths? Ideally I
would like to calibrate it for 780, 670 and 630nm. Of course, I planned
on using my calculator to figure the output at other wavelengths based
on the responsivity of the PD, but since the pots are there that may not
even be necessary.

Any ideas? I'm hopeing this thing will help me keep from blowing up
diodes when I'm setting the bias.
