[Laser] heatsinking

I picked up a pair of LDs from digikey--the 10mw red and 120mw IR--and
both come in the tiny 5.2mm package. I also picked up the housing kits
which have a 6.4mm diameter and contain a collimation lens. Can anyone
share some advice as far as heatsinking them is concerned? Does anyone
know a good way to heatsink these things with household/hardware store
materials? I don't have any metalworking gear in the apartment. I'm
just fishing for ideas. I'd like to use these in a comm system with a
homebrew beam expander. I have the electronics ready to go and I'm
itching to get things working for this winter!
