[Laser] AOM

Hi all silly question but can I expect the mod'd beam from a AOM to be
at the same power (80-90%) as what is entering the AOM. At the moment 
I seem to have two beams one unmod'd (ie passes through) and one mod'd
with the 800Hz that I'm driving the RF driver unit with.The thing is the 
mod'd beam is a long way down in power than the unmod'd beam. So is this
to be expected or am I doing something wrong? I've tried different angle
and can get a whole line of spots but guess the idea is just to have the
two. Anyway look forward to any help 73 de John
