Hi all:

One of my associates at work (Advanced Photonix) designed a spreadsheet
for modeling photodiode transimpedance amplifier circuits.
He (Stewart Miller) has it available for download on his personal web
site:

http://home.att.net/~ssmodeling/

It's totally free, fully functional (not a demo), and requires Excel.
Lots of op amp models are included - you can see which are the best.
Running the spreadsheet will tell you if the design is stable, what
the bandwidth will be, what the noise output will be, etc.
It's not a polished commercial program, so the interface
may take a little getting used to.

It is designed for the "standard" photodiode transimpedance hookup -
just a photodiode, an op amp, a feedback resistor & feedback capacitor,
so it will amplify DC signals as well as AC. This may not be what you
want, but the spreadsheet still may be of value. There is a version
for biased photodiodes and a version for non-biased photodiodes, but
I don't recall how they are different.
