The HE-10/KT-200 also had an rf amplifier stage that made it a much better receiver than the S-38. The KT-200 coupled with a Heathkit Q-multiplier was my first Novice receiver. I still have a KT-200 that I stripped down to the chassis and completely rebuilt.
