[Lafayette] Lafayette prices.

Bob, I bought a HE-30 last year on eBay for $5.99.... really. The seller was not far away and the shipping was cheap.
I was the only bidder. Why so cheap?
1, someone had painted the covers a horrible burgundy color
2. same person cut a 3" square hole in the right side of the top cover. (never figgered that one out)
A patch Tig welded in place, a trip through my glass beader, a respray and it looks perfect. The chassis was actually in perfect condition and the dial glass was untouched.
This doesn't happen often, but even a 'blind squirrel finds an acorn once and a while". ha ha

HE-20s were CB transceivers.
