All this talke about old Lafayette ham rigs has me yearning for more info. Is there a particular site where I can go to glimpse some of the gear you are talking about? 

I had a 2 chnl Lafayette CB set in the mid-late 60s, that was portable (luggable?) with a shoulder strap. 

The, in college I had a multi-band receiver (not sure of the model number) that I used for general SWL work. Dual slide rule dials. 

Other than that, I am a little un-informed when it comes to Lafayett gear.

HR-10 receivers: Got one....nice old Heathkit Novice receiver and it is in primo condition. WHat type of tube preamp were you refering to to increase it's usefullness on 10M?
