I too doubt the claim as I have no doubt that ARRL would scream loud
enough we'd all hear it without the magazine or newsletter! You could
stand outside and hear that one!

There is a few hams on 2m talking about a bill being on the floor,
that the FCC will consider GIVING away 145.MHz to Business's and
in-addition, it was said there is bill to TAKE AWAY the entire 2m 
band?

Has anyone heard such "GARB"? I don't have any faith in who said 
it, but if anything... this should make for good discussion?  LOL. 

I personally have not heard a thing, or seen anything about this. 
The parties discussing this alleged "BILL" claimed to...EVEN...have the
"Bill" docket #'s.  Again, I have no faith there is truth to 
this.
