Y'ALL ARE MISSING THE POINT!! WHEN ONE HAS NO FUEL, DIESEL IS A LOT EASER
TO COME BY. A HAND PUMP, A HOSE, A TANK, & A BOLT CUTTER, WILL GET ONE
DIESEL FUEL, WHEN THE BROWN STUFF HITS THE FAN. THE SAME TRICK WITH PROPANE
MAY GET YOU BLOWN INTO THE NEXT COUNTY.
I much prefer propane for the normal run of the mill stand by generator
(especially if I have to maintain it) for power failures. However we are
talking about earthquakes. Power will be off over a wide spread area. No
power, no way to pump propane. I guess one could steal a propane truck. If
it is loaded. BTW, let me know when you load the 500 gallon tank with your
backhoe. I want to be in the other end of the state. EMS will be to busy,
with earthquake victims, to respond to your crisp butt. A propane tank is a
bomb that hasn't gone off....yet. It should be treated as such.
