Diesel generators will not run without fuel also.

I have run propane generators with the tank
off my barbcue....Not for long mind you, but,
everyone has a gas grill.... Or 100 gallon tanks
run even better.

I imagine you could pull a 500 gallon tank using
a backhoe onto a trailer and move it that way too.
