CAPITAL CITY AMATEUR RADIO SOCIETY
ARRL FIELD DAY 2005
The Capital Amateur Radio Society and Bob Stephens, Communications Director for Kentucky Emergency Management, would like to welcome all Hams to visit and operate Field Day 05 from the Boone National Guard Center (State EOC) and New State Mobile Command Post (MCP). Field Day operations will be in the State EOC building radio room with the capability of two HF stations and VHF/UHF stations. Also, The new Mobile Command Post will be set up next to the Radio Communications Maintenance Building (Bobs Office) and on display. We will be testing and programming some of the systems, but some Field Day HF and VHF/UHF operations will be available from time to time. We will also be testing some digital radio modes from the MCP to the EOC and other contacts around the area. The MCP will also be demonstrating an Amateur Radio TV station link to the EOC building. The Stations Field Day call sign will be KY4EOC with a report of 2F KY. The local Frankfort VHF repeater (147.105 + pl 107.2) will be monitored for driving directions and other information on operation at KY4EOC. Please note the MCP may not be available at all times for visitation, call KY4EOC and check to see if it is open. The EOC building radio room will be available for operations at all times during Field Day. The Security Guard will require a valid photo I.D. (drivers license is OK) to enter The Boone Center Complex.
Thanks,
Patrick Compton
