I had a question earlier about use of Winlink for this and as it was not
mentioned specifically, I asked for verification. Looks like so long as
it is in radiogram format and uses RF, it is counted! Let 'er rip and
test out those Winlink nodes.

Subject: RE: [KYHAM] Field Day Messages for the SM or SEC
Hi Ron,
I checked with Dan Henderson, N1ND, ARRL Contest Manager who knows a lot
about Field Day rules.
Regarding the bonus-point messages, he said, "The message needs to
leave the Field Day site via amateur radio" for it to count.
So that means, if the SM/SEC bonus-point message from the Field Day site
is first transmitted via rf on Amateur Radio frequencies, then it should
be okay. The text of the message still needs to be properly-formatted
(NTS-style radiogram format) as the rules explain. [7.3.5]
Have a great Field Day!

Steve, WV1X

I looked at the rules and was not real sure if things had advanced to
where they considered Winlink an accepted means for the transmission of
the SM or SEC message for bonus points under existing rules. Could some
of you at HQ offer an interpretation for me? If it is not, it really
should be factored into the 2006 effort.
