[KYHAM] Mobile install in Ranger

I was wondering if anybody has mounted a dual band mobile in a Ford Ranger with a separation kit? I have a Yaesu FT-90R and am looking to buy a separation kit for it and was wondering where the best place to install the radio is. I was looking at behind the drivers seat using the bracket and mounting the bracket to the back of the cab. I don't know if this is a good option or not and how to get the bracket mounted to the cab. Thanks in advance.
