Well, it had to happen sometime...

Apparently the weather finally did my balun in or something. I was unable
to call the net this evening or hear anything. Have to get that fixed
this week! At any rate, here are a few sites I thought might prove
interesting.
If the net carried on in my absence (HOPEFULLY!)and others had referenced
web sites, books or magazine articles of interest, please be sure to have
that info posted on the listservs as well.

Many amateurs are beginning to look at NVIS antennas for use on 75 and 40
meters. Here are a couple of good web sites with info on them:

KV5R: Understanding NVIS Antenna and Propagation Experimentation
http://www.qsl.net/k5eph/nvis.htm

Make A Quick, Easy, Cheap, NVIS Antenna for Roadside Operating.
Or... ”K.I.S.S.” (Keep It Simple Sherlock)
by D. W. Thorne, K6SOJ, SEC SV Section
http://www.emcomm.org/svares/projects/nvis.htm

What with all the talk on TV of a POSSIBLE terrorist attack on the US this
year using "Dirty Bombs" you might want to take a peek at these two
offerings on the subject:

Nuclear Regulatory Commission Fact Sheet on Dirty Bombs
http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/doc-collections/fact-sheets/dirty-bombs.html

CNN Special Report: Dirty Bombs
http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2002/cfr/stories/dirty.bomb/

73 all, Got a dipole to repair!
