Greetings,

I am a new General class license holder that would have gotten the old one =
if I would have been able to practice regularly.  Therefore, I don't thin=
k that I my opinion really matters as I waited until they dropped the 13 =
wpm so I may have done the same for the 5 wpm if dropping the code requir=
ment would have been "soon".

I would like to see some VEC or other group administer the code exams and i=
ssue a ticket that says Old General or Old Extra or something.  Would thi=
s be something that current VECs would be able to do?  This way those of =
us who do like the code could feel some accomplishment.
