[KYHAM] Question about KENWOOD TR-9000 2m All Mode Rig

I have been using a Kenwood TR9000 (allmode 2 m) rig
for a year. I bought it at a hamfest, got no manuals.
I diddled with it for a few days, learning as I went. I
often use it on FM repeaters and for that need 146 - 147
mhz range. When the unit fires up it gives me 143.9 -
145.9 - no problems BUT I can't find a method to get
it up to 146.000 Logically, since it has 2 VFOs we'd
think switching from one to the other might do it, but
it doesn't want to switch. Tuning from 145.995 upwards
gives me 143.950 instead (it just starts over).

Does anyone have experience with the Kenwood TR9000?
Is there a special procedure to follow to give me 146 - 147?
